Host: Avonmore Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP)
MAWC acquired the Avonmore WWTP in 2001. It was an extended air plant rated at 0.190 MGD that discharges to the Kiskiminetas River serving 437 customers. A new plant was constructed in 2024 to handle the higher wet weather flows and seal off an SSO. The new plant is a 3 basin SBR plant with UV disinfection, while the original plant tanks were converted to raw wet wells and digesters, now rated at 0.257 MGD.

Please note the following.
- One (1) wastewater PADEP Contact Hour is available for $5 during registration for attending the tour.
- There is additional parking in the park above the plant, on 1st Street, Railroad Street, Westmoreland Avenue, and Indiana Avenue.
Plant Tour Exhibitor and Sponsorship Registration:
Exhibit Table - Exhibitor must bring own table. Exhibitor's Company announced during plant tour and lunch meeting. Each exhibitor has two minutes before the facility tour to discuss their products with attendees. Attendee Bingo participation to increase Exhibitor's table traffic.
Event Sponsor - Event sponsors are announced and recognized at the plant tour and lunch meeting.
Attendance - Include per number of lunch attendees.
- Register prior to Thursday, 4/9, $35 per lunch attendee.
- From 4/9 to day of event, $40 per lunch attendee.
