Dennis Mike

Dennis started his wastewater career in 1996 working as a laborer for the Chippewa Township Sanitary Authority. After completion of training he quickly became certified as a Class C, Type 1, Sewage Treatment Operator in Pennsylvania and is currently certified as a Class A,E, Type 1,2,3,4 Operator.

In addition to his wastewater training, he has an Associate Degree in Microcomputer and Microprocessor Technology, also an Associate Degree in Electrical Technology. Dennis has completed training and is a Leviton Certified Network Installer.

Under his direction he computerized operations to document the laboratory test results and computerized the preventative maintenance program for the Wastewater Treatment Plant along with 8 pumping stations. Dennis is also in charge of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System.

In 2003 Dennis was promoted to the position of Superintendent.

Under his leadership the Chippewa Township Sanitary Authority received the 2005 Pennsylvania Water Environment Association Plant Operation and Maintenance Excellence Award.

Currently Dennis is an active member of the Professional Wastewater Operator, Water Environment Federation and the Pennsylvania Water Environment Association.

Dennis was also a Safety Specialty Team Member and instructor for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Operator Outreach program. The Operator Outreach program provides specialized services to sewage treatment plants.

Dennis is a member of the WPWPCA Executive Board, also is a part time instructor for PH Environmental Services, Inc.

His hobbies include golf, and troubleshooting and maintaining computer systems.

Dennis lives in Chippewa Township with his wife Barbara.
