| Patrick J. Canavan Biography
Patrick J. Canavan has been employed by the Clairton Municipal Authority for the past eighteen years. Thirteen of those years were as the Laboratory Supervisor and currently as the Plant Superintendent. Pat has received the William F. Hatfield award in 2004 and also the Laboratory Excellence award in 1997. He has conducted maintenance seminars for the association as early as 1986 and is currently the Co-Chairman for the PWEA Laboratory Practice Committee. Patrick is also a Trustee for the WPWPCA. He also remains active with the (PAAAEL) Pennsylvania Association of Accredited Environmental Laboratories. His current project is a Laboratories Seminar on both the eastern and western parts of Pennsylvania. Patrick’s outside activities consist of raising funds to support burn research for children and also sits on the Selective Service System Board, which he was appointed by Governor Ed Rendell in 2003.
